Beginning in late 2016 several long-time library supporters began to explore the possibility of forming the Friends of General Baker as an independent, nonprofit organization. After a thorough review of the idea it was determined that this would happen beginning in 2017. It is our belief that the new structure will afford additional fundraising opportunities as well as continuing to offer those who support the library additional tax benefits.
